Chiropractor Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
  • Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
  • Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to correct the musculoskeletal system.
  • Use heat, cold, massage therapy and other methods to treat patients
  • Obtain and record patients’ medical histories.
  • Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken.
  • Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients’ difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
  • Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
  • Educate patients on the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care.
  • Provide a patient with educational resources and a recommended course of treatment.

[Salary, Work Hours & Benefits]

  • Salary between $65000 and $78,000, to start and evaluated annually. 
  • Bonuses are based on 3% of net collections plus a base bonus twice annually after completion of a 90-day probationary period.
  • Working hours average 40 hours per week with a full 3-day weekend, every week. 
  • Continuing education costs to be negotiated during the interview process. 
  • Health Benefit allowance to be provided quarterly not to exceed $2000 per year. 
  • Inclusion in office IRA with an annual 3% match.
  • Vacation time of two work weeks per year initially and then evaluated annually. 
  • Moving package of up to $3500, with documentation.
  • 30-45 days of free housing at the owner’s rental home complete with utilities, pool and all the maintenance are available. The total value is $3650 (monthly). NOTE: home is for rent long term, if needed. 
  • A two-year commitment to the practice is required to avoid reimbursing moving and housing allowance.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Doctor of Chiropractic
  • Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program
  • Current license as a chiropractor in the state of practice
  • One or more years of clinical chiropractic work experience
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
