Service Desk Intern

The Information Technology department is looking for a Service Desk Intern to join their team based in Eden Prairie, MN but serving our primary three locations: Eden Prairie, Belle Plaine and Le Sueur! As a Service Desk intern you will responsible for performing technical support across the organization. Our technicians use problem-solving and people skills to ensure Cambria staff are provided swift resolutions to their technical needs.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for IT assistance via phone, email, or in person
  • Troubleshoot incident tickets and advise users on appropriate actions
  • Research questions and publish responses in the Knowledge Base
  • Utilize Jira Service Manager or other Help Desk Software
  • Identify and escalate situations which require urgent attention
  • Install software programs that are requested of users
  • Take part in daily IT functions, primarily with the IT Service Desk
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Technical experience with Windows, Apple Mac and Apple iOS
  • Peripherals experience – setting up printers, external hardware, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or within a team
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and successfully meet deadlines

 

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Working towards a degree in a relevant field of study with an expected graduation date of 2024, 2025, or 2026

Experience: 1-year experience in a related field preferred

Systems: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom

Internship Program Dates: May 20 - August 9, 2024

Managerial Responsibilities: None

Travel Requirements: Local travel may be required between Cambria locations

Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily. Must be able to stand, bend and twist while performing service work.
