Data Analytics Intern (Fall '24/Winter '25)

Position Title:  
Data Analytics Inter (Fall ‘24/Winter ’25)

The Career Center is a resource on campus for students to connect to employers, get support during the job search process, and more. The data analytics intern will support the office by analyzing data like student engagement, alumni employment, employer opinions, etc.

Required Qualifications and Education: 

  • Student currently enrolled in applicable program of undergraduate higher education
  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Statistics, Computer Information Systems, or other related field
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting; organize own work; and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse students, faculty, staff, and community members

 

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:  

  • Assist in analyzing and pulling available data for infographics and charts based on student, faculty, and employer engagement, as well as other data collected by the Career Center
  • Create, implement, and analyze surveys used to gauge employer or student opinions
  • Support the attainment of First-Destination Survey feedback for students to assess and report career outcomes
  • Assist in monitoring importer errors in Handshake to ensure students can get into the system
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications and Education:  

  • Basic skills in Python, R, or SAS

Additional Details

  • Paid internship
  • 10-15 hours a week, flexible depending on student's schedule
  • Work will primarily be done at the downtown Pew Campus with some flexibility for remote work

 

Start Date: August 19, 2024

End Date: April 26, 2025

Pay: $14.93 per hour
