‘Resilient American Communities’ Health Worker

Public Health AmeriCorps is a 1 year National Service Opportunity in the State of Maine.

Location: Littleton, NH

The AmeriCorps member will conduct community needs assessments, outreach, implementation, and the collection of community feedback on public health issues such as food access, healthcare access, cancer prevention, or housing.  RAC supports communities as they identify and address local issues and work to recover from the effects of the pandemic based on the Resilient American Communities (RAC) program.

Ammonoosuc Community Health Services (ACHS) is a non-profit Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) with five sites in northern New Hampshire. With funding from national, state and local sources we deliver high-quality, affordable health care, behavioral health care, and supportive services to nearly 10,000 patients in over 26 area towns.

1700 : $7,395
1500 : $5,176.50
900 : $3,697.50
This scholarship can be used to pay off Federally qualified student loans for
Educational Expenses at a Title IV Institution. If member is over the age of 55
at the time of enrollment, they may choose to transfer this award to a child, grandchild, or foster child

ACA-compliant Health Insurance
at no cost to full-time members from the first day of service to the last day of the last month of the term

Loan forbearance & Interest Payment 
Federally qualified student loans may be placed in forbearance during the term of service and any interest that accrues during that time will be paid off by AmeriCorps

Mileage Reimbursement to AmeriCorps-sponsored training events from Goodwill NNE

Reimbursement for mileage expenses associated with project-related travel from the host site at the rate that the organization reimburses existing volunteers and/or staff
