Accounting Analyst

GSW Manufacturing, Inc., an international manufacturer, and technology developer serving the wiring harness industry is seeking a GAAP-driven, innovative Accounting Analyst who can tell a story with data.   You will join a talented and collaborative Accounting Team at our Findlay, Ohio headquarters. What You Will Do:  

You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Accounting Team to support the customer-facing side of the business, financial reporting, analytics, risk management, high-tech process improvements, and value-added strategies and initiatives.  

  • Cash management; specific cash management reporting, reconciling cash in the ERP system, cash reconciliation, and facilitating wire transfers to the parent company.
  • Analytics and reporting; specific IBM Cognos Analytics reporting and analysis, variable and fixed asset reporting and analysis, and reconciliation of monthly statements, and transactions, including end-of-month reconciliations.          
  • Customer-facing revenue cycle; reconciling customer accounts including invoice processing, distribution, and statement delivery, 
  • Helping to adopt innovative technologies; recommending, assisting, and managing value-added strategies and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and cost.          
  • Risk management; analyzing and assisting in annual commercial and self-funded benefit renewals. Contributor as a member of the 401k committee.

What You Should Have:

  • 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or related disciplines.
  • 2 years of experience in accounting, or related financial planning, and financial management assignments preferred
  • High-level technology skills – using financial planning and analysis software.
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical and strategic thinking, and problem-solving.       
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, advanced level in Excel applications.
  • A thorough understanding of financial security and confidentiality policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills
