Cabin Attendant (Seasonal)

Salary Range:$10.00 To 10.00 Hourly

The City of Leawood, Kansas will be accepting applications for the Cabin Attendant until May 10, 2024.

Shifts are generally be 3pm-11pm Sunday through Saturday and on an occasion 8am - 11am on Saturday and/or Sunday. 

The cabin rental season is April 1st through October 31st.

Cabin Attendant at the Ironwoods Park

Summary/Objective

The Cabin Attendant is responsible for assisting and providing services for groups renting the cabins. This position requires some decision making with frequent review and guidance.

General Responsibilities

• Assists patrons renting the cabins at Ironwoods Park with the check in and check out process. Responsibilities including completing and collecting all required paperwork.
• Responsible for securing cabins and surrounding facilities when patrons leave at end of rental period.
• Responsible for assisting patrons with the building, monitoring and extinguishing of campfires.
• Assists patrons renting the cabins with any needs they might have during their stay.
• Answers general inquiries regarding the park’s facilities and programs.
• Must be on-site for the entire evening shift duration and available for emergencies.
• Employee may be asked by the supervisor or acting supervisor to perform other duties that are not listed but are essential to the job.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school degree or equivalent, one year of college preferred.
• Must enjoy working with the public.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the City’s drivers Use of Vehicles for City Business policy throughout employment with the City.
