Cognitive Behavioral Therapist
Centered Care Therapy Services is seeking a full-time cognitive behavioral therapist. The right candidate would work with an transdisciplinary team responsible for providing cognitive behavioral therapy to individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injuries (SCI), and behavioral health conditions. This may involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering therapy sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support the well-being of the clients. This therapist would also be expected to maintain accurate documentation of client progress and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance their clinical skills.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral and mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapy sessions to individuals, families, and groups
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to address behavioral issues
- Collect data on client progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care
- Provide case management services, including referrals to additional resources or services
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of behavioral therapy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field
- Certification or licensure as a Behavioral Therapist (e.g., BCBA) is preferred
- Experience in addiction counseling, TBI, SCI or mental health counseling is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of direct support principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
