Your Contribution at AIG can include:

  • Managing litigation from the filing of a complaint through appeals, including all steps in between: evaluating claims; overseeing litigation, often managing the defense for our insureds in litigated matters; evaluating cases; reporting on trials; negotiating resolutions; and presenting to senior management.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on legislative and regulatory developments, as well as industry trends impacting the business / claims area.
  • Maintaining best practices to promote consistency throughout claims and the business.
  • Ensuring appropriateness of claims payments, adequate reserving, and reduction of claim costs.
  • Ongoing monitoring of respective claims and consistently responding to client inquiries to maintain and acquire business relationships.
  • Working alongside underwriters, actuaries, and adjusters to help the business assess risks, set prices, investigate, and settle claims.
  • Aligning with business partners, lawyers, and HR regarding policy issues.
  • Building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with key business stakeholders to fulfill projects and programs.
  • Providing support to data and operations to analyze key metrics that balance the need for customer excellence.

What we’re looking for:

·       AIG seeks candidates with a Juris Doctor degree who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, possess strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, are enthusiastic about a career in litigation and are committed to the insurance industry.

·       The ideal candidates will be creative problem solvers with proven success working as part of a team. They will possess a powerful blend of legal acumen, analytical abilities, and communication skills.

 

Required:

•     JD degree to be received no later than June 2024

•     Minimum 3.2 grade point average (unofficial transcript required upon application)

•     Industry related summer internship

 

Program Start Date
The Early Career Analyst program will start at the end of July 2024.  

 

Locations
Early Career Analyst positions are in-person opportunities and are available nationwide. When we work in the office, we experience greater connections with opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and learn together.
 

For applicants in Colorado, Jersey City, and New York City the base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $96,000.
