Human Resources Intern

HR Intern

Reports To: VP, Human Resources

 

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Intern will support HR initiatives aligned to support the goals and objectives of the business. This position will provide students with real-world HR experience by partnering with various HR functions to provide HR solutions to the business in the areas of employee engagement, HR analytics, and process improvement. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partners with HR Business Partners and Generalists on HR business priorities and initiatives.
  • Analyzes data and trends to present to HR Business Partners and Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Participates on special projects as assigned by VP, Human Resources.
  • Provides support to HR Generalist on various processes and activities.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with HR Operations, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits and Talent Acquisition as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications: 

Education and Certifications

  • 4-year college degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or other related field in progress.
  • Open to students starting their senior year.
  • 3.0+ GPA.

 

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Comfortable working with deadlines
  • Self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Able to complete required math calculations (e.g., multiply, divide, rate, ratio, percent, produce / interpret bar graphs).

  • Employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.
  • Employee must have the ability to lift and move items up to 15 pounds.
  • Employee must have the ability to see written documents and computer screens, and to adjust focus.
  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

 

Other Requirements

  • Internship length varies – 10 weeks for Summer; temporary role.
