Product Management and Analytics Intern

The Program

 

Mallinckrodt is offering an 10-12 week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Here, you will be able to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service.

Summary of Position

 

In this position, the Intern will work closely with our product management and analytics teams to learn and understand the data available within the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) industry and how that data is used to inform and make decisions. While working with us, this Intern will utilize available data assets and evaluate tools to create and deliver insights across the team.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Intern will gain exposure to the Generics Pharmaceutical Industry by:

  • Working with Product Managers, Pricing and Operations team to understand the process and inputs for developing commercial forecasts, demand plans and supply plans
  • Leveraging industry data sources evaluate changes in market conditions and pricing trends
  • Participating in strategic discussions assessing product demand and pricing to evaluate new business opportunities
  • Collaborating with Commercial colleagues to evaluate pipeline projects and develop forecast models to support bringing new products to market
  • Working with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve our business practices
  • Participating in regular SIOP review meetings

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education / Experience / Skills:

 

  • Pursuit of an undergraduate degree, with at least three years of undergraduate study, in Business, Finance, Data Science or Analytics with an interest in the Pharmaceuticals or Healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Has completed coursework in Business, Finance, or Data Science or Analytics
  • Has excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on project teams
  • Has acquired skills/experiences in data analysis

 

 

Relationship with Others/Scope of Position

 

The Intern will work under the guidance of the Sr. Director of Product Management & Analytics. This role will partner with additional colleagues on the Commercial Team, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain.

 

This is a hybrid role; 2 days/week in office, 3 days/week rem
