Business Operations Coordinator

In the role of the Business Operations Intern, you will be tasked with assisting the Senior Director of Operations with the day-to-day responsibilities of operating a startup agency, including financial reporting, process evaluation, philanthropic endeavors, and project management. This individual will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and eager to learn about the sports and entertainment industry through a unique lens. Candidates will be receiving academic credit for this internship position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary assistant to the Senior Director of Operations on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Help manage records of all new athlete clients and deals, including onboarding materials, asset management, timelines, and reporting. 
  • Assist with the execution of yearly philanthropic efforts on behalf of agency and clients. 
  • Organize intern recruitment process and develop onboarding materials for new employees and interns. 
  • Oversee internal project management tools and assist internal team with active project tracking. 
  • Perform monthly accounting responsibilities on behalf of the agency such as data entry, forecasting, and pipeline management.

  • Willingness to assume an advanced role and be a direct representative of a fast-growing agency at a client-facing level. 
  • Maintain team standards through supporting other team members in achieving their service/quality levels and targets, as required. 
  • Build effective working relationships with other team members and externally. 
  • Help build and maintain new relationships on behalf of the agency. 
  • Manage daily tasks to ensure business needs are consistently met.

Education and Qualifications 

  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred 
  • Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship for academic credit. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; and this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. 

Work Environment 

This job operates in a remote professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
