SUMMARY

The primary function of the Senior Payroll Administrator is the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the Human Resources Information System. This position will also contribute to the day-to-day business within the Human Resources department, ensuring tasks are performed in a timely manner to support the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Payroll 

  • Bi-weekly processing of payroll through ADP and maintenance of all records relating to the payroll master file data. Coordination of changes to the master file with other Human Resources team members
  • Preparation of payroll account budget analysis and accruals in connection with the month-end close
  • Review the computation of pay and ensure the company payroll policies are in accordance with government regulations
  • Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks
  • Process payments and maintain records for LTI, STI, retirement plans, and HSA/FSA accounts

Accounting 

  • Quarterly Bellevue tax return payroll support
  • Liaison with ADP for payroll-related quarterly tax filings

Human Resources 

  • Research and set up new jurisdictions with state and local governments, and in ADP
  • Re-employment and Workers Compensation audit support
  • Process employee PTO and address change requests in ADP
  • Process employee tuition reimbursements
  • Provide annual audit support
  • Update employee HSA contributions
  • Manage computer purchase agreements
  • Upload weekly Wex funding reports to the W Drive
  • Review and approve annual ACA Form 1095s
  • Backup for annual compensation processes
  • ADP audits for data accuracy
  • Review and approve monthly invoices for employee benefits
  • Prepare information requested or required for compliance with employment-related laws and regulations

Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting or other appropriate course work; five years of payroll experience; or a combination of education and experience. Two to five years of accounting experience is preferred. Human Resources experience is preferred. 


TECHNICAL SKILLS

All Microsoft Office tools, ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Dynamics (accounting package), and web browsers. The ability to manage multiple projects, change priorities, and be action-oriented. The ability to interpret financial data.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to stay current on industry trends and new techniques.
