ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are now accepting applications for experienced classroom teachers in all grades and subjects for the 2024-2025 school year. It’s too early to know what our openings will be, but we’re eager to be in touch with you if you’re interested in a teaching position at Match for next year. 

The salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,200-97,920 and is determined by the candidate’s prior years of full-time teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that include;s 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance. 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching positions are based at our PreK-5 elementary school (100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park), our 6-8 middle school (215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain), or our high school (1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton)

Teachers are responsible for: 

  • Preparing and delivering classroom instruction and support in Match classrooms
  • Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;
  • Communicating regularly and proactively with families;
  • Participating actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming;
  • Assisting with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and
  • Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for applicants who:

  • have at least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;
  • hold a valid and appropriate educator license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;
  • believe that all students can and will succeed;
  • Have a desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback;
  • have a proven record of student success and achievement; and
  • demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work.
