Human Resources Internship - Post Grad

Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and self-motivated individual to join our fast-paced Employment & Recruiting office as a Human Resources Intern for summer 2024. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions while supporting our team in their daily operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and be eager to learn and adapt to new platforms. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, are essential for this position. Strong data entry skills are also required, and any experience with AS400 is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and assisting with employee documentation.
- Collaborate with HR team members to organize and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Help with data entry and analysis tasks, including maintaining HR databases, generating reports, and conducting audits to ensure data integrity.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and organizing meetings and appointments.
- Stay up-to-date with HR policies, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Basic knowledge of human resources principles and practices helpful
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.
- Any previous experience in HR or knowledge of AS400 is a plus, but not required.
