Job Description:

At Door County Cooperative you will be working directly with producers in the field. Daily responsibilities will be maintaining and increasing the sales of crop inputs while increasing market share. Ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, self-motivated, positive work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills are required with the ability to work un-supervised.  Serve as the primary contact for our customers while providing feedback and recommendations while offering solutions to improve crop production is a must.

Position Responsibilities

  • Building strong customer relations by promoting industry leading ideas and technology with current and future prospected customers daily
  • Provide crop scouting services to identify weed, insect, disease and plant nutrition concerns
  • Collect, analyze and interpret various test results and prepare recommendations accordingly
  • Work side by side with the management team to achieve sales and quality goals.
  • Obtain (CCA) Certified Crop Advisor Certification
  • Ability to Lift 60lbs. Be able to pull, push, stand, walk without assistance.
  • Work outside in Inclement weather/driving conditions as well as be able to work a flexible schedule with after-hours emergency call-outs.
  •  Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads specific crop support commodities to and from specified destinations
  • Use of provided software for soil sampling, field mapping, crop planning and record keeping, and various crop production activities pertaining to customers
  • Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures
  • Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with the opportunity to secure a CDL
  • Maintains compliance with Company DOT requirements and Drivers Manual
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor of all maintenance and repairs of equipment and supplies.
  • Driver must keep the Company vehicle clean, inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with DOT regulations and Company Policy.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Biology, Horticulture or Related Education are Preferred, but not required.

3 years of sales experience would be preferred or 2 years of customer service is acceptable

Skills and knowledge of the agriculture industry are highly desired.
