Campus Events and Contracts Manager

Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for Campus Events and Contracts Manager.  The Campus Events and Contracts Manager develops and manages Miami Dade College’s contracts and the use of Campus space. The position manages contractual agreements and provides rental, setup and breakdown services for College sponsored events and external entities that use the College facility spaces.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages contracts between Miami Dade College and external vendors, includes being the main point of contact for all communications
  • Plans and organizes special College and external events on campus including coordinating the assistance of Campus Support Services and Media Services, as well as supervising the actual events
  • Oversees all lease agreements for individuals or organizations, and ensures compliance with MDC policies and procedures including safety and compliance issues and rules and regulations
  • Negotiates, reviews, and manages contracts with vendors, and other external partners
  • Coordinates events with external agency representatives for smooth event transition
  • Coordinates and maintains financial record-keeping systems in compliance with standard business practices
  • Maintains accurate facility schedules, including credit/ non-credit classes, athletics (if applicable), community recreation programs, and outside groups
  • Processes all facility rental use agreements as per College policy and coordinates all necessary work orders, staff scheduling and documentation
  • Works closely with legal and procurement departments to address contract-related issues and concerns
  • Prepares contracts reports and ensures all documents and payment collection are on file to be in compliance for State Auditors

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience in public relations, special events planning or management administration; or Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience in public relations, special events planning or management administration or related experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
