Bilingual Outpatient Therapist

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm with the availability to work  late evenings (with 10 hours after 4pm)
  •  3 days at our Berwyn Office / 2days off-site.

SUMMARY:

Provides therapy, outpatient clinical assessments, and treatment services to a caseload of clients via telehealth or in-person at the office, in the community, and/or in local schools depending on the needs of the clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides individual, family, or group therapy to a caseload of clients as determined by program needs.
  • Completes clinical assessments to formulate an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment interventions to serve the identified client and family.
  • Determines frequency, duration, and intensity of treatment, and develops treatment plans.
  • Assesses and stabilizes high risk individuals and/or families.
  • Provides case management services as defined in the service plan that coordinate, support, and advocate for clients who need multiple services and require assistance in gaining access to and in using mental health, social, vocational, educational, child welfare, and other community services and resources.
  • Completes clinical documentation in accordance with the Behavioral Health and organizational policies and procedures, established timeframes, and while meeting established productivity standards.
  • Works in collaboration with other Pillars Community Health programs and staff.
  • Coordinates with other community agencies and organizations such as DCFS, schools, hospitals, other providers in the community.
  • Responds to clients and/or family needs outside of regularly scheduled session times.
  • Participates in specific program meetings, including required staff, line of service, and organizational meetings, and required trainings, and consultations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related degree required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents and/or adults living with mental illness in an individualized setting is required.

Experience conducting therapy inclusive of providing clinical assessments, treatment planning, and diagnoses is required. Experience completing progress notes and clinical documentation is required. Experience using the IM+CANS is preferred. Training in and experience with a variety of evidence-based treatment models required. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with consumers, referral sources, and other community providers is essential.

OTHER

Must maintain a safe driving record and have current valid Illinois Driver’s License and vehicle. Personal vehicle needed for transportation to/from community and home-based interventions. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable
