HP NonStop Senior Systems Administrator

Position Summary
As an essential figure within the Enterprise Compute Services organization, the HP NonStop Senior Systems Administrator assumes a vital role.  This position is primarily responsible for managing the operational resilience, modernization, and configuration of our HP NonStop infrastructure—a critical backbone to our healthcare delivery and administrative systems.  With the need for scalability, security, and performance at the forefront, this role emphasizes effective collaboration with diverse, cross-functional teams.  It requires ensuring that the systems not only fulfill the specific business requirements inherent to our large-scale operations, but also strictly adhere to industry best practices and healthcare-specific regulatory compliance.  Given the complexity of our operations and the sensitivity of the data we manage, this role necessitates a profound understanding of the HPE NonStop architecture.  In addition to this, it demands exceptional problem-solving abilities to swiftly address any system issues that could impact our service delivery or customer care.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of quantifiable experience in systems engineering, specifically focusing on the support of HP NonStop systems.
  • 8+ years of understanding and direct experience with HP NonStop Guardian, SQL/MX, Pathway, NonStop ServerNet, and relevant utilities, with particular emphasis on the number of systems worked on.
  • 8+ years of documented proficiency in configuration management tools, such as TACL, TMF, SCF, SQLCI, and FUP, demonstrated by past projects and use-cases.
  • 8+ years of strong critical thinking skills, evident by measurable success in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
  • 8+ years of experience in monitoring and tuning system performance, with specific instances demonstrating improved system performance.
  • Required – Excellent communication and collaboration skills, proven by successful team projects and collaborations.
  • 4+ years of experience in improving the performance of NonStop systems, evidenced by system parameters optimization, resource utilization analysis, and the successful implementation of system enhancements.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation providing high-quality customer service (1 rotation every 3-4 weeks)
  • 4+ years of experience in improving the performance of NonStop systems, evidenced by system parameters optimization, resource utilization analysis, and the successful implementation of system enhancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of fault-resilient architecture and disaster recovery concepts, backed by instances of successful implementation.

Experience with designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for NonStop systems, including configuring redundancy, developing backup strategies, and ensuring business continuity, supported by measurable outcomes.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

 

$43.27 – $86.54

 

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
