The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Electro Mechanic A, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Troubleshoot/repair mechanical equipment and components, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, web handling systems.
- Perform basic machining, pipefitting and millwright tasks, welding and fabrication tasks as well as preventive maintenance.
- Install/upgrade equipment and Maintain pumps.
- Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair electrical and electronic equipment and components, Maintain/troubleshoot power and distribution systems.
- Program/troubleshoot using programming devices. Operate a personal computer, Create/modify spreadsheets, databases for historical trending, word processing databases, Load/remove programs.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (complete prior to start).
- Minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years of mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance or related experience.
- Ability to work overtime, weekend work, working holidays as needed.
- Ability to work either a first, second or third shift depending on shift availability
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Two-year technical degree or, technical knowledge and practical application skills in mechanical, electrical, or electronics disciplines at a level normally acquired through formal training in two-to-four years of vocational education and/or as part of an established apprenticeship program.
- Knowledge and skills of mechanical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and devices is normally required.
- Knowledge and skills of Electrical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and devices is normally required.
- Experience with: Maintenance, Systems, Technician, Electro Mechanic, Mechanic.
