Advanced Manufacturing Robotics and Mechatronics Technology

Vincennes University is seeking applicants for Advanced Manufacturing Technology Adjunct Faculty position. This is a part-time position located in Vincennes, IN. This position will teach degree required courses in the discipline of Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology and Industrial Maintenance.

                                     

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to teach courses in the Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology(AMAT) Program.
  • Prepare materials for courses taught.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Able to work some evenings and occasional Saturdays if needed.
  • Advise and monitor student progress.
  • Other duties as opportunities arise.

 

EDUCATION: Minimum of an A.S. degree directly related to Advanced Manufacturing/Industrial Maintenance.

 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years work experience directly working with automation technology used in manufacturing. Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.

 

Direct working experience in the following areas:

  • Electrical/Electronic control circuits.
  • Mechanical Drive Systems.
  • Fluid Power.
  • Motor Control System.
  • 3 Phase Power.
  • PLC Programming.
  • Industrial Robot Programming.
  • Industrial Networking
  • Process Control.

 

REASONING SKILLS: Strong problem-solving skills.

 

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent oral & written communication skills. Friendly, outgoing, respectful attitude.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift 50 pounds, also stand for an hour without a break.
