What you will do:
- PRN for weekend on call.
- Perform two dimensional (2-D) ultrasonic recordings of internal organs.
- Participates in CQI activities.
- Handle equipment safely
Responsibilities:
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Programs ultrasound equipment to perform a variety of examinations.
- Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
- Assists in maintaining basic records and reports.
- Assists in maintaining files.
- Completes all work before clocking out and leaving. This includes checking with nurses’ stations.
- Takes ultrasound calls according to weekend schedule.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from an AMA approved school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
- Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Certified by the State of North Dakota to practice and administer ultrasound.
- Current BCLS certification.
- One (1) year of experience under a Board-Certified Radiologist preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Duties as assigned.
