College Intern, Spring and Summer 2024

The Saint Mary’s Foundation and Volunteer Services teams are looking for an intern for the Spring/Summer 2024 semester!

 Primary Responsibilities:

·        Assist with building relationships with donors, community partners, volunteers and other individuals/organizations close to Saint Mary’s Foundation/Trinity Health Saint Mary’s. May include phone and personal contact with these groups.

·        Support with recruiting new volunteers.

·        Plan and support ongoing colleague & volunteer appreciation initiatives.

·        Assist with communications for fundraising campaigns, social media content, and special mailings both print and digital.

·        Working with staff, patients and visitors while assisting with inventory sales and fun promotions in the Shoppe at Saint Mary’s.

·        Support with small appreciation gatherings and meetings. Specific tasks may include determining location, setup, catering arrangements, and other details to make the meeting a success.

·        Assist with administrative details, including photocopying, mailings, data entry, and communication distribution.

·        Assist with other fund development and/or volunteer services projects as needed.

Qualifications:

·        College students who are majoring in Health Care Administration/Management, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality and/or related fields.

·        Candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to details, ability to manage several projects at once, excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and professional image.

·        Working knowledge on word processing is necessary.

·        Internship is unpaid and must be for college credit.

·        Internship is no more than 20 hours per week. Will work around student’s class schedule.

·        All schools must have on file a signed contract with Trinity Health. All students must complete:

1.   A health screening at Workplace Health on Trinity Health expense
2. Provide a copy of their immunization records which will include flu shot, TB test and COVID-19 vaccination series.
3. Further immunizations may be required if deemed necessary by Workplace Health and would be provided by Trinity Health.
4. In addition, the school prior to the start date of the internship must run a Criminal Background check if necessary.
