ACRISURE SCHOLARSHIP/INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION – Real Estate (Asset Management)

General Summary: You will be participating in an innovative program that will develop your skills in an emerging field and provide an opportunity for post-graduation employment. Selected participants will receive an employer-sponsored scholarship to support the completion of a certificate program within the bachelor’s degree in real estate (asset management). Participants will complete a paid internship with the employer sponsor before graduation. In exchange, participants agree to work for the employer for one year post-graduation, if offered full-time employment.

Essential Internship Functions Include:

  • Support the real estate department by analyzing and interpreting contracts, reports, and other documents.
  • Assist with database management systems to integrate information and ensure data accuracy.
  • Learn about the business and incorporate the knowledge to recommend better solutions.
  • Perform outreach to partners regarding upcoming critical lease dates.
  • Coordinate projects with Real Estate and Facilities Department and outside vendors.

Internship Duration and Time Commitment: One semester, up to 20hrs/wk. Target semesters are Winter 2024 (Jan – Apr) or Spring/Summer 2024 (May – Aug)

Internship Location: Acrisure Corporate Headquarters, 100 Ottawa Avenue SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Compensation: Market rate, to be negotiated with employer.

Qualifications:

·       Junior standing with an anticipated graduation date of May 2024 or August 2024.

·       Good academic standing.

·       A strong communicator, critical and creative thinker, with skills in problem-solving, ethical reasoning, and collaborative teamwork. College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) and Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies majors are especially encouraged to apply.
