Medical Social Worker - Hospice per diem
Job Summary: Provides psychosocial assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and information/referral services on a consultation basis. Works collaboratively with the management team to ensure the efficient utilization of resources for positive patient outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
· Ability to work effectively with people from a broad range of backgrounds.
· Ability to adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
· Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA.
· Knowledge of psychological principles and theories.
· Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, and empathy towards others.
· Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work. One (1) year experience working as a social worker or applicable mental health experience. Licensed Social Worker preferred.
