Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks an HR intern located in Rochelle, IL.  This position will report to the Human Resources Manager. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with New Hire Packets.
  • Create new hire personnel files.
  • Special Projects as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
  • Promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and follow through on projects
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
  • Eligible for work in the United States without sponsorship

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to:

  • Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull.  Able to reach in all directions
  • Remain in stationary position for the majority of the day. 
  • Occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. 
  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs
