Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, has an immediate opening for an Intern in the Finance Department at our facility in Chicago, IL (Hegewisch area). This position reports directly to the Finance Director. The position will assist in calculating product costs and with analysis of operational variancesresulting from manufacturing activity at the Company's local locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates with providing, extracting, and analyzing production data.
- Assists with work order analysis on various plant production orders and various plant product costing functions.
- Works with Company personnel in determining estimated costs for future products.
- Participate in running reports to forecast and analyze data for the team.
- Review cycle count reports for various Zekelman locations.
- Assist Staff Accountant(s) with weekly reporting.
- Responsible for special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Desiring a career in accounting or finance.
- Training in the use of SAP enterprise software will be provided.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and other database query applications
- Work effectively and contribute in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendation
