Project Facilitator - Summer Internship

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries is a fast-growing modular construction company, with manufacturing sites across the US and Canada. Its patented modular system allows developers and architects to build faster and more-efficiently than ever before, using new technology and fabrication to reinvent construction.   

 

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Project Facilitator Intern located in Kitchener, ON. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Junior Project Facilitator is responsible for the coordination of drawing, engineering, delivery, supply, and construction activities within the assigned region modular scope and acts as a liaison between the plant production team and other team members for the activities concerned with the fabrication and maintenance of Z Modular products. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the plant with scheduling, budgeting and implementation of projects. 
  • Assist with project planning for approval by management.
  • Assist with the preparation of project schedules with input from production management. 
  • Prepare reports for time and material studies for projects. 
  • Review project planning to confirm execution within overall project plan.
  • Prepare and update project schedules weekly with input from project staff and Scheduling Department
  • Manage RFIs and assist production team with documentation. 
  • Interpret reporting so it directly ties into the communication required for Plant Team Members, Customers, and Corporate 
  • Understand and manage contractual obligations and customer requirements for projects. 
  • Develop internal document control reviews to parallel Customer, Corporate and internal plant needs for projects. 
  • Assist in researching and creating requests for capital assets. 
  • Other duties as assignment by management.

              

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current College student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in related field  
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing construction environment utilizing degree in respective discipline 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
