Tax Technology Researcher
The person hired for this full-time on-site position of Tax Technology Researcher will be a part of a collaborative global Tax Technology company specializing in software development and consulting for the Fortune 50 Tax Departments. This person will be responsible for the following:
- Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
- Research and manage tax requirement information for the many countries in which our clients operate.
- Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.
- Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
Enterprise Tax Solutions, Inc. (eTaxSolutions) builds world-class software to meet global and local tax requirements of Fortune 200 companies. As a result, the person hired may also be asked to test software, provide feedback, and participate in meetings related to research and development of products.
Because eTaxSolutions values cross-functional skillsets, there will likely be opportunities to lead special projects outside of the traditional scope of a Tax role.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Some understanding e-invoicing [Structured invoice data issued in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or XML formats]
- Ability to read and interpret data
- Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA Certified preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in tax accounting or similar role
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
