CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

  • Proven experience as a CNC operator
  • Skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
  • Proficient with tool room equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Abide by company safety guidelines
  • Load and unload raw materials and equipment
  • Set up and calibrate accessories and equipment
  • Keep detailed records of equipment and procedures
  • Perform necessary maintenance and cleaning on equipment
  • Supervise machines as they run and make adjustments as needed
  • Inspect tooling details to ensure compliance
  • Machining of tooling details and material prep to support the tool room utilizing mill, lathe, saw, and other support equipment
  • Support off-shift manufacturing equipment breakdowns
  • Support off-shift maintenance requirements such as floor cleaning, preventative maintenance, etc., as needed

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States 

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Familiarity with CNC operation
  • Ability to read blueprints and spec sheets 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the machine and tools, including their uses
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven work history
  • Excellent attendance record

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically able to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
