E-Commerce Merchandise Management Intern - Summer 2024

Covering a variety of business areas and needs, our internships are available to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Engineered for personal and professional development, our summer program runs for ten weeks from early June through mid-August.

 

Merchandise Management Intern at Medline will assist with enhancing the customer experience on Medline at Home (athome.medline.com) through the optimization of onsite product assortment, product content, pricing, product recommendations and category navigation.  The merchandise manager intern will update data feeds such as google shopping.

 

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:

  • Drive online growth by curating and maintaining the online product portfolio to ensuring that content, product attributes, and images are optimized for website traffic and conversion.
  • Review and identify product gaps in the online portfolio and work with Medline divisions to find products to fill those gaps.
  • Understand, learn and interpret Google Analytics data as it relates to categories and products.
  • Utilize Google Search Console to monitor indexing status, keywords and search queries, leveraging the data to improve organic search rankings.
  • Manage product feeds for Google and Bing Merchant centers.
  • Support pricing strategy activities by conducting pricing analysis, review and improve market data, and present recommendations.
  • Conduct market research and leverage SEO tools to identify marketing opportunities and areas of growth.
  • Monitor product reviews and provide responses as required with guidance from the merchandise team.
  • Review customer feedback to find opportunities to enhance the user experience. 
  • Collaborate with product divisions and content teams to share and gain learnings about different product categories.
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to make recommendations to improve website features.
  • Produce and distribute recurring reporting and ad-hoc analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
  • Previous internship experience in ecommerce, marketing, and/or business preferred
  • Active interest in the Healthcare industry preferred
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills required
  • Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups
  • Must have strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a bias toward action and be results oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Unrestricted permanent US work authorization
