May be eligible for a sign on bonus of $6,000 with less than 2 years of experience or $10,000 with 2 or more years of experience with a 2 or 3 year committment. 

This position is eligible for the student loan repayment program which helps you pay off your loans and save money.  Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10, 000) from Avera will help pay down your principal faster.

Job Summary

  • You will perform Neurodiagnostic tests and continuous long term monitoring in an Acute Hospital setting for all for age groups, including ABER screenings in the newborn nursery.
  • You will monitor the ongoing electrical signal of the brain utilizing EEG, and evoked potential technology.
  • You will document the patency of the peripheral nervous system utilizing evoked potential technology clinically and intraoperatively.
  • You will initiate proper interventions based upon interpretation of changes in the patient’s condition and extracts relevant information from the patient's chart. 
  • You will calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot medical and general support equipment.
  • You will also complete testing for reports, charging procedures, prepare patient rooms, stock supplies, and contact supervisory staff when appropriate. 

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited school of EEG/ EEG/Neurodiagnostics Technology. 

 Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • Registration in EEG (R. EEG T.) or evoke potentials (R. EP T.) from the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist is required within two years of accepting the position.

 Work Schedule

  • Schedule:  Days; Monday to Friday. 8am-5pm. 
  • Call is limited to every 4th night and every 4th weekend. 
  • Eligible for call pay as well as weekend and evening/night differential pay. 

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $23.25 - $34.00 per hour
