Social Media & Marketing Assistant

The main responsibility of this position will be to support Fotona’s growing US Sales, Marketing, and Events Teams through the coordination, creation, and delivery of creative content, as well as various marketing initiatives and assignments.  The ideal candidate is diligent and organized, has a sophisticated aesthetic sensibility, is highly savvy with social media, and thrives being a part of a cross-functional team.  The Social Media & Marketing Assistant must have a positive can-do attitude, be self-motivated, be a quick study, and be a team player - motivated to actively support and enable an environment where all of our team members, and our customers, can be successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver creative content, messaging, design, and layout, of various print and digital marketing materials as requested.
  • Create and manage high-caliber social media content and posts in line with Fotona's branding and overall marketing strategy.
  • Coordinate logistics for the production and shipment of various customer and internal marketing materials.
  • Ability to work some evenings/weekends as necessary.
  • Consistently demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic and represent Fotona with Integrity and Professionalism.

​Skills:

  • Outstanding organizational skills and proficiency in managing multiple ongoing multi-task assignments.
  • Solid working experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with a proven track record of dependability, consistency, and sound judgment.
  • Proactive problem solver and collaborative team player who takes ownership of responsibilities.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with an ability to manage timelines, anticipate workflow, balance priorities, and adjust as needed in a busy and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work with team members and among diverse groups in various geographic locations across the United States.
  • Tech savvy, experience with or ability to learn various meeting and software applications.
  • Office Suite Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Salesforce, Google Docs, and Smartsheets experience a strong plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility for occasional weekend travel for event support, as well as the flexibility to work some evenings as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to commute to and work out of our Irvine Office Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly, ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs. occasionally, ability to push/pull very heavy equipment on wheels/casters.
  • Ability to stand, push/pull, bend, squat, stretch, reach, twist/turn, walk, and reach throughout the day, ability to work at a computer and sit for extended periods.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Marketing, Graphic Design, or similar preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience preferred.
