Certified Athletic Trainer

We're the official healthcare provider for St. Cloud State athletes! This is a full-time position, working 80 hours every two weeks. The hours can vary due to the needs of sporting event coverage.

Job Summary: 

  • Clinic and sideline coverage for college, HS, and other athletics.
  • The Certified Athletic Trainer provides prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Performs assessments and evaluations of patients and guides patients through physical exams and post-op procedures.
  • Casts, splints, and provides DME/brace fittings for appropriate injuries and administers gait training and other therapeutic exercises to patients.
  • Sideline coverage may be required.
  • Provides instruction on in-home exercise programs.
  • The Certified Athletic Trainer acts as a liaison between the patient and attending physician.
  • Organizes physician notes and x-ray studies and presents final case reviews to attending physician.

This position is located at the Health Plaza.

Current Offerings:

  • Starting pay is $23.46 per hour and increases depending on experience.

Schedule:

  • Full-time.
  • 80 hours per two week pay period.
  • Varying hours due to weekend and evening game coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer required upon hire.
  • Current BLS required.
  • 2-5 experience in athletic training setting preferred.
