Direct Patient Interaction Hospice Volunteer
Interim HealthCare of West Michigan is a locally owned and operated leader in post-acute care services in West Michigan.
We are now seeking Hospice Volunteers to serve within our growing Hospice Division. Give of your time, when time matters most.
Your Volunteer Role
- Read to your patient, lend a smile, listen to another's life-journey, share the joy of music, a favorite show, or laughter while playing a game
- If you're more comfortable volunteering in an administrative role, we have opportunities at our Corporate Hospice office to give a hand as office team support
- This is a flexible role, and whatever time you have to give is appreciated and accommodated

Volunteer Responsibilities
- After being contacted, fill out the official application and background check form
- Participate in an interview process
- Participate in volunteer orientation & training
- Spend time serving your assigned patient or fulfilling administrative duties
- Communicate consistently and regularly with your Volunteer Coordinator
- Documentation in an EMR
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation with valid state driver's license and current car insurance
- Kind, Compassionate, Reliable, and Emotionally mature
