The Dekker Huis Museum shares the history of Zeeland, MI and the surrounding areas. A mighty team of greeters ensure that the museum can open and that visitors have a great experience. Greeters serve as the face of the museum!

We ask all greeters to commit to at least 1 shift per month. As a student, we ask that you commit to at least 1 semester.

Responsibilities of a greeter include:
-Opening and Closing the museum
-Greeting visitors and orienting them to the museum
-Answering or directing visitor questions
-Keeping the museum stocked and the gallery space clean
-Answering the phones
-Managing the gift shop

There are moments of downtime while there are no visitors so greeters are encouraged to bring homework, a book, or some other method to keep themselves engaged during slow times.
