Teacher, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) GEN/SC

LEVEL/POSITION: TEACHER

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide an educational atmosphere in which students will move toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth and maturation in accordance with District philosophy, goals and objectives. Reports to Principal or Assistant Principal at assigned location.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education – Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Certificates and/or Licenses – Eligible for Certification by the State of Florida.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Plan instruction and adaption of the general/special education curriculum to accommodate students in the learning process. Function as the case manager for students with individualized education plan (IEP) and oversee their compliance.
