Pharmacy Technician Certified -Full Time

Job Summary
  • Assists in drug preparation, drug storage, drug distribution, drug inventory, and required record keeping under the supervision of a Pharmacist. 
  • Maintains confidentiality when working with all customers. 
  • Must utilize effective problem solving skills. 
  • Conveys enthusiasm and sincerity and promotes Avera McKennan and its services in a positive manner to all customers. 
  • Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively with Safety Principles. 
  • Coordinates work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment. 
  • Able to help with phone conversations, correspondence, or direct contact about billing issues. 
  • Need working knowledge of insurance, Medicare and basic accounting principles.
Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Technical Program preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required. 
  • Unrestricted registration with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days of employment.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
  • $18.00 – $24.50 per hour
