Accounting Technician
IN THIS ROLE:
You will provide a variety of bookkeeping services for the technical campus as directed by Campus Deans and Controller. You will work 7.5 hours a day during our normal work schedule.
Location: OSTC NW, 8211 Big Lake Rd, City of the Village of Clarkston, MI 48346
WHAT WE NEED:
We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and self-motivated team member to provide a variety of financial services and administrative assistant duties for the technical campuses. This position will maintain accurate accounting, budgeting, banking and bookkeeping duties, track and deposit program revenues, create and monitor purchase orders, handle and reconcile petty cash funds, make travel arrangements for employees and will monitor Oakland Schools’ compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), board policies and administrative rules.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- High School diploma required.
- Two or more years of related work experience (accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or other financial fields; school business office experience preferred).
- Experience with robust general ledger accounting systems/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of basic computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to properly operate required office equipment such as a personal computer, fax machine, copier and the like.
SALARY DETAILS:
$21.45 - $24.88 hourly based on experience, with the potential of earning up to $26.79 hourly / NonExempt Position / 12-month work year
