Enhancing Communication Between Local Public Health and Healthcare Providers

DESCRIPTION: The goal of this project is to enhance email communication channels for urgent and routine information from the Kent County Health Department to local physicians and other healthcare professionals. The intern would work with internal KCHD staff to identify key messages and timing of communication as well as develop and administer surveys to local healthcare professionals. The intern would help review the results of the survey and determine next steps that would need to be taken based on the feedback received.

IMPORTANCE TO PUBLIC HEALTH: Timely, accurate, and concise communication is essential for public health. Improving our communication with our medical community can ensure that physicians receive the information they need to care for their patients.
