Human Resources Intern

About the opportunity
The Human Resources Intern will support the Tomah WI Plant and the HR team. The position is full time during the summer with potential opportunities for part time during the school year. This is a manufacturing environment where there will be exposure to the production processes and interactions with employees at all levels of the organization. This position will also give you opportunities to learn more about labor relations in a unionized environment. This position will report to our HR Manager but with closely with the entire HR team.

What you will do
·        Support hiring initiatives including but not limited to recruitment activities, interviews, pre-employment and onboarding
·        Contribute to training development for our Learning Management System
·        Assist with a variety of daily HR tasks and communications such as attendance, internal job postings, employee requests, etc
·        Other administrative and HR related duties and projects as time allows

What you have to offer
·        At least junior credit standing pursuing Human Resources
·        3.0 grade point average or higher
·        Must be detail oriented and possess high level of organizational skills
·        Must have demonstrated skills in customer orientation and time management
·        Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with both hourly and salary employees
·        Ability to work with minimal supervision
·        Must be able to work with computers, Microsoft Office
