Multicultural Visiting Mentorship Program - Clinical Nurse Specialist

A Brief Overview
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is committed to meeting the needs of the populations we serve throughout the global community. Understanding growing needs and complexities in pediatric healthcare, we strive to expand our reach with our patient populations providing care through our experienced, compassionate providers. We are striving to expand our workforce because we recognize the diversity gaps within the healthcare system and know a diverse workforce will only improve the patient care we provide and are passionate about. Our Advanced Practice Providers work in many areas of our health system, such as Primary Care, Specialty Care, Critical Care, the Emergency Department, Fetal Diagnosis & Treatment, Home Care and the Research Institute.
The Multicultural Visiting Mentorship Program is designed for students to partner with experienced Advanced Practice Providers and leaders throughout the organization to gain insight into life at CHOP as an APP. The Program includes time spent in specialty divisions exploring the dynamic fast-paced environment APPs live while providing the highest level of patient care. During this week-long program, students have the opportunity to participate in educational activities and expand their social network in the field.
