Alamo Elementary Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) Level 1

TITLE OF POSITION: Alamo Elementary Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) Level 1

STARTING DATE: 2023-24 School Year

CLOSING DATE: Until Filled

Otsego Public Schools’ staff is the heart of the district, and we are looking to add a Special Education teacher to our elementary staff.

Primary tasks (non-exhaustive list):
  • Instruct students with special needs in reading and math using a variety of techniques such as pull out intervention groups and push in support into the general education classroom in order to meet students' varying needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers or administrators to develop, evaluate, or revise elementary school programs.
  • Confer with other staff members to plan or schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
  • Confer with parents, administrators, social workers, or other professionals to develop individual educational plans (IEPs) for students' educational, physical, or social development.

Requirements:
  • Special Education K-12 Certification
  • Experience in the elementary school setting preferred
