About the position

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Clinical Services Coordinator. Under administrative direction, this position will develop and manage a variety of consultation programs and services for special populations throughout the region and will consult with and provide leadership within the region and local communities in the application of health care, mental health, special education, substance abuse, physical abuse and child development to public child welfare entities. The position will serve as regional consultant in the areas of clinical practice, assessment, service planning and psychiatric hospital discharge planning, treatment, and decision making. The position will also complete high profile case reviews and arrange for special reviews by specialty service providers.  This position is a great opportunity for someone who is focused on the administration and provision of services for children and youth. Job Responsibilities

  1. Serves as a Clinical Services Coordinator.
  2. Completes high profile case reviews.
  3. Implements specialty programs for the severely emotionally disturbed (SED) population in the region, providing coordination of the Department's SED programs.
  4. Serves as a working Supervisor.
  5. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires MSW or MA in an acceptable human services field.
  2. Requires three (3) years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW or four (4) years of administrative child welfare experience in a MA in an acceptable human services field.

  1. Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
  2. Requires ability to pass a background check.
