MET Payment Analyst, Departmental Analyst 12
This Departmental Analyst position will serve as the recognized resource person for incoming payments on MET (Michigan Education Trust) contracts. Review and reconcile system-generated payment reports to identify and resolve errors in payment posting or fee collection. Develop an error tracking method, identify trends, conduct trend analysis, and recommend solutions based on trend analysis data. Review and monitor payment policies and procedures and recommend changes for increased efficiencies. Research the payment policies for other state prepaid tuition programs and recommend policy or procedural changes to increase efficiencies in payment collection, posting, and reconciliation. Serve as main point of contact for internal and external vendors regarding payment processing and error resolution. Compile statistical data and create reports for the MET actuary for use in creating contract pricing recommendations for the MET Board of Directors. Identify trends in payment collection patterns and create reports to present summarized statistical data to the MET Board of Directors as a representative of the MET Operations team. Perform other duties as assigned.
