About the position

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Clinical Services Coordinator. Under administrative direction, this position will develop, monitor and implement clinical service program for children and youth and review programs to ensure ongoing compliance with action plans. The position will provide guidance and input into Utilization Reviews and will manage and monitor cases by analyzing and reviewing clinical data and clinical options to ensure that services to Spanish speaking clients are provided in a manner that ensures compliance with the applicable consent decree. This position will utilize Spanish speaking skills in the performance of duties.  This position is a great opportunity for someone who is focused on the administration and provision of services for children and youth. Job Responsibilities

  1. Serves as a Clinical Services Coordinator.
  2. Manages and monitors cases by analyzing and reviewing clinical data and clinical options to ensure that services to Spanish speaking clients are provided in a manner that ensures compliance with the Burgos Consent decree.
  3. Provides input and assistance to the Case Tracking Administrator by conducting clinical staffings as determined by management for the purpose of correcting problems, directing interventions and facilitating linkages for services.
  4. Provides information to the Chief of Latino Services regarding resource needs and quality of Department-provided Spanish speaking resources for Latinos.
  5. Translates and interprets, both orally and in writing, for Spanish speaking clients regarding services available and the proper completion of forms.
  6. Provides input into the budget development process to ensure that the budget is consistent with activities required by litigation.
  7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires MSW or MA in an acceptable human services field.
  2. Requires three (3) years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW or four (4) years of administrative child welfare experience in a MA in an acceptable human services field.
  3. Requires ability to speak and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level.

  1. Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
