Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Performance Monitoring and Execution Team Supervisor. Under administrative direction, this position will oversee a team of professional staff engaged in monitoring Department staff and private agencies providing foster care, services to intact families, and other contracted services throughout an assigned geographic area. Job Responsibilities
1. Plans, supervises, reviews, and coordinates the activities of a team of professional child welfare staff engaged in the monitoring of Department staff and private agencies that provide foster care, intact family services, and other contracted services within assigned regions.
2. Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate supervisory staff.
3. Provides input into the development and implementation of Departmental programs, policies, and procedures within area of oversight.
4. Establishes and implements a team-based program of staff development and training for subordinate and private agency staff.
5. Explains and enforces agency policies and procedures, state and area statutes, and requirements.
6. Represents the Department in various planning sessions with other public and private agencies.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires an MSW or master’s degree in a related human service field.
2. Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW.
OR
3. Four years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in a related human service field.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prefers 3 years of professional experience conducting child welfare casework services or program monitoring services.
2. Prefers 3 year of experience supervising professional staff.
3. Prefers 2 years of professional experience in the development of corrective action plans.
4. Prefers 2 years of professional experience conducting planning activities for a service area.
5. Prefers 2 years of professional experience conducting training for professional staff.
6. Prefers 2 years of professional experience representing a public or business organization to outside entities.
