Summary
These positions are in the Office of Research and Development. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected). Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.

Duties
At the GS7 level, you will:
- Perform data collection and analysis;
- Measure, filter, grind, and weigh samples;
- Complete data entry of data collected;
- Prepare samples for analysis;
- Review literature for assessment and information gathering.
At the GS9 level, you will:
- Independently perform data collection and analysis;
- Set up and implement new procedures and ensure proper collection and preservation of specimen;
- Identify and resolve problems and provide routine technical advice;
- Establish quality controls and calculate, correlate, and verify test results;
- Write reports identifying methods, procedures, and results of scientific studies;
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to analyze samples.
At the GS11 level, you will:
- Independently perform highly specialized or complex data collection and analysis;
- Modify or adapt established protocols and procedures in response to test studies or findings;
- Plan and justify resource management strategies and departures from established procedure;
- Prepare and present scientific reports to diverse audiences;
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to analyze samples.
