As featured in Former First Lady Michelle Obama's book becoming, Public Allies Pittsburgh, an Americorps program is a growing network of 2500+ diverse leaders who are choosing to create lasting, positive change in Pittsburgh and beyond.
Join us for 10 months, and we’ll show you how to make a difference in organizations and communities through service.
Program Overview:
- Leadership Development Training Monday
- Serve at a Local Non-Profit Tuesday Through Friday
- Learn Asset-Based Community Development Through A Team Service Project

Program Details:
Our *paid* 10-month AmeriCorps program will get you on a pathway to furthering your education and career and developing your leadership abilities and influence through service. While participating in our program, you will apprentice full-time at a local nonprofit, learn about asset-based community development through implementation and participate in weekly workshops to expand your personal and professional skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Available 40-42 Hours A Week
- Able To Live In The Pittsburgh Area Between October 2023- September 2024
- 17+ Years Old
- Have Earned A Ged Or Higher
- An Us Citizen Or Have Permanent Residency
