Job Details:
Accounting Data Entry Specialist
Full time preferred but part time could be available - 8:30am-12:30pm or 2pm-6pm - Monday - Friday
Pay is commensurate with experience
Job Description:
Are you looking to be part of a successful and growing company? As a Consumer Account Associate you will be a member of the accounting team that processes consumer payments. Strong 10-key skills and attention to details is needed to process payments with speed and accuracy. A quick learner with thrive as they learn to handle transferring collected funds to clients, billing associated costs and processing returned payments. After mastering the process of consumer payments, the right candidate would be able to join our special projects team. This team works to complete client audits, provide support to the legal staff and process other business costs.
Along the way, a successful individual will gain an understanding of the relevant collection regulations, civil recovery methods as well as the legal process from suit to judgment. If you are organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have an ability to communicate with others and excel at time management with multiple priorities you will enjoy joining our team. Desired skills and qualifications:
Previous experience in accounting or finance related position (bank teller, broker, operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, Escrow, title, or other transferable industry)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel with 10,000+ KPH 10-key
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Organized with ability to manage time and multiple priorities
Ability to quickly identify inconsistencies, accurately trace back to source and correct findings
Quick learner with a positive attitude with ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Effective communicator
Associates degree in accounting or finance: or one to three years of related experience: or three or more years of equivalent combined education and experience.
Successful completion of background check required
Physical Setting:
20+ hours in office Monday to Friday. Must have the ability to commute/relocate to Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel and type; talk to others, hear, and reply. Occasionally required to stand, reach, crouch and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to focus between paper and computer screen. Work is performed inside an office setting where the noise level in the working environment is usually quiet. Dress code is professional and business casual.
Experience:
Preferred 1+ years in accounting
