Wraparound Therapist

*$2,000 sign-on bonus for new Seneca employees in this position!
 
The Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family-based mental health counseling, crisis intervention, family finding/connection work, and case management services to children, youth, and families who are primarily in the child welfare and juvenile probation systems. Solano Community-Based Programs' goal is to help children and their families with complex and enduring needs receive intensive treatment in the least restrictive environment that is appropriate. The Wraparound Therapist provides assessment of the client and family’s needs and leads the team in providing treatment to support the family toward meeting their goals. Services are primarily held in the community: in families’ homes, group homes, foster homes, schools, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and caregivers on at least a weekly basis to further treatment goals and provide therapeutic services, including but not limited to individual therapeutic/behavioral interventions, family systems work, individual, and family therapy.
  • Facilitation of Child and Family Planning Meetings.
  • Case management, coordination of care, and linkage as needed.
  • Collaborate with county and community partners including county social workers, probation officers, outside therapists, psychiatrists, and teachers.
  • Intervene with clients’ behavior management programs and provide crisis management as needed. In rare circumstances when there is serious threat of harm, this may include physical management of the clients (implementation of Seneca's Equilibrium Training).
  • Participate in crisis response on-call system as outlined by the program.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and paperwork.
  • Attend team meetings, weekly trainings, individual and group supervisions and adhere to clinical best practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
  • Eligible to register with the BBS.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English abilities a plus!
  • At least 1-year experience in working with Families who are experiencing the impact of complex systematic disparities that contribute to community and individual mental health challenges.
  • Good organizational and writing skills.
  • Own vehicle, California driver’s license and insurance.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other licensing or certification requirements.
  • Must show proof of Covid-19 fully vaccinated and boosted.
  • Experience in working with children in out of home care a plus!

  • Starting at $67,000 to $81,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
